Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

TMRTR (Team Rater) is a youth-sports community platform where coaches, players, parents and fans rate teams on sportsmanship and on-field performance, and where coaches vote in state-by-state polls. This policy covers the TMRTR web app and the TMRTR iOS app, what we collect, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have.

01Information you give us

  • Account details: your name and email address, plus a password if you sign up with email. If you use Continue with Google, Google shares your name and email address with us, and Google handles that sign-in under its own privacy policy.
  • Coach affiliation: the team you coach and your staff title (for example Head Coach or Assistant Coach). We use this to confirm you can rate and vote as a coach.
  • Team information you add: team name, sport, age group or graduation year, city, state, league and logo.
  • Ratings and ballots: sportsmanship scores, sport-specific performance scores, your coach poll rankings, and any comment you type.
  • Reports you file: the reason you chose, anything you add, and a copy of the text you reported.
  • Support messages you send us, and any details you include in them.

02Information we record automatically

  • Your account is stored with everything you submit, together with the date and time and the record identifier, whether or not you posted it anonymously.
  • Standard technical request and error logs from the platform that hosts the app. We use these to keep the app running and to investigate abuse.

03What other members can see

  • Your name and your team appear with ratings and poll ballots you submit, unless you choose to post anonymously.
  • Team pages list the team staff names and titles, so a team can be identified and claimed by its coach.
  • Leaderboards show averaged sportsmanship and performance scores. They do not show individual voters.
  • Comments appear with the rating they belong to. If a moderator hides a comment, the scores stay in the leaderboards and the wording is removed.

04Anonymous submissions

  • When you turn on anonymous, your name and team are left off the submission, so other members see only the scores, the comment and the fact that the vote came from a coach.
  • The submission stays attached to your account inside our system. That is how we keep one vote per coach, and how a moderator can act on a report about it. This means an administrator can identify the account behind an anonymous submission.

05How we use your information

  • To run the leaderboards, state polls and team pages.
  • To confirm you coach the team you claim, so coach ratings and ballots count.
  • To keep the community safe: reviewing reports, hiding content, and issuing warnings, suspensions and bans.
  • To reply to you, and to send account emails such as invitations, password resets and verification codes.
  • To keep the app secure, working and free of spam and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and the app contains no advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts.

06Third-party services we rely on

  • Base44, the platform that hosts and runs the app, stores the app database, handles sign-in and password resets, sends account emails, stores uploaded team logos, and keeps the technical logs we use to operate and debug the app. Data stored through the app is held there on our behalf.
  • Google handles Google sign-in if you use it, and the app loads its two interface fonts from Google, which means your device contacts Google when a page loads.
  • The iOS app is a secure connection to the same service using standard HTTPS/TLS and Apple-provided encryption. It adds no encryption of its own, and we do not request Apple’s advertising identifier.
  • Apple processes the app build and App Store review under Apple’s own policies when you download the app.

07How long we keep it

  • Account details and coach affiliation: for as long as your account exists.
  • Ratings, performance ratings, poll ballots, teams and comments: kept as part of the community record, including after an account is deleted (see the next section).
  • Reports and moderation history: kept so that safety decisions, and the reasons behind them, can be reviewed later.
  • Technical logs: kept only as long as we need them to run and secure the app.

08Deleting your account

  • You can delete your account yourself from Settings, with no need to contact us.
  • Deleting removes your account and releases your coach spot on your team, so another coach can claim it.
  • Everything you contributed stays in the community record: your teams keep their division and their leaderboard history, and your ratings, performance ratings and poll ballots stay visible, carrying the name you submitted them under if you did not post anonymously.
  • A deleted account cannot be recovered, and we cannot re-link a deleted account to the submissions it made.

09Your choices and rights

  • Post anonymously, and edit or delete the ratings and ballots you still own.
  • Report content you believe breaks the community guidelines, including concerns about a minor’s privacy. Our moderators treat reports about safety and minors as a priority.
  • Delete your account in Settings, or write to us to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it.
  • If you are in California or another state with a privacy law, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, and ask us not to sell or share it. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
  • If you signed in with Google, you can revoke the app’s access from your Google account at any time.

10Children and youth sports

  • TMRTR accounts are for coaches, players, parents, fans and team staff who are old enough to manage an account. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, we will delete it.
  • The app works at team level: team names, divisions, locations and adult staff names. There is no roster field, so we do not ask for individual youth players’ names, photos or birthdays.
  • If your child’s information appears somewhere you did not expect, report the content in the app or write to us and we will review it.

11How we protect it

  • Your data travels over encrypted connections (standard HTTPS/TLS) and is stored on the hosting platform with access controls.
  • Your account details are visible to you and to the moderators who run TMRTR. Moderators can also see ratings, reports and moderation history, because they are responsible for reviewing them.
  • No system is perfectly secure. If you spot a problem, tell us and we will look into it.

12Changes to this policy

  • If we change how we handle your information, we update this page and the date shown at the top. If a change materially affects your account, we will make it clear in the app.
